    A New Chapter

    18 January, 2018

We stayed in this little shepherd’s hut on our first wedding anniversary. It was over Easter weekend and it rained a lot, so, between long walks and hearty pub lunches, we cosied up inside and whiled away the showers dreaming of making this lifestyle of wooded fields, smoky campfires and hooting owls our everyday.

We got chatting with Alex, the owner, and almost four years and a couple of return visits later, we’ve become good friends. The idea of us working for him has often been discussed, but only ever half jokingly because the timing has never been right…

    …until now.

Yes, if you hadn’t already guessed where this is going, I couldn’t be happier to say the stars have aligned and Jack, Teddy and I will be moving to the beautiful South Downs in May to help run Wriggly Tin Shepherd’s Huts.

We have so many ideas for new additions – from chickens and a veg patch to workshops and seasonal suppers – and we couldn’t be more eager to roll up our sleeves and get to work. It’s quite literally a dream come true.

Before then, though, there’s a lot still up in the air: house renovations to finish, tenants to find, a whole life to move. But the wheels are in motion, and I think it’s really going to happen.

In the mean time, tell me: what would make your perfect glamping weekend? Email me here or come and find me on Instagram to let me know!

How exciting! It’s going to be such adventure… Mmm a perfect glamping weekend, has to have a log burner which I see it does, and I love when there are tons of books left to help yourself to, and homemade cake on arrival.
